TileFix
Description
One component ceramic tile adhesive mortar in powder form modified with a special polymer.
Recommended Uses
Used for the mounting and laying of interior and exterior ceramic tiles and similar materials on concrete backgrounds. It is suitable to be applied to a large area of the surface to be tiled with a notched trowel producing a ribbed mortar bed of uniform thickness.
Features
-Good water retention capacity, neither the tiles nor the substrate (background) have to be presoaked or pre-wetted. TILEFIX ensure good wetting of the substrate and the reverse side of the tile.
-Cost effective only 2 to 4 mm thickness of the TILEFIX are required
-Easy mixing.
-Good workability, fast and easy to spread with the notched trowel, reducing labor time.
-Long open time (time in which tiles will stick).
-Tiles can be adjusted for a long time after they had being laid.
-Good sag resistance of newly laid tiles, relatively heavy tiles can be put on vertical surfaces without slipping.
-Provides good adhesive and cohesive bond strength between natural stones or ceramic tiles and varied backgrounds such as concrete surfaces, brick-work, lime cement renders, gypsum, light weight concrete, old tiles,…
Application Instruction
• Method of Application : special notched trowel.
• Mixing Ratio : (by weight): Powder:4/Water1
• Mixing : Add water (1L) to TILEFIX powder (4 kg) and mix to achieve a thick and creamy consistency. Allow the mixture to stand for about 10 minutes, stir again and apply.
• Pot life : 3 hours (higher temperatures will shorten the potlife sharply).
• Thinner / Cleaner : Clean applying tools immediately after application is completed by water.
• Application Temperature : 5-40?C.
Technical Information
• Color : Ivory.
• Flexibility : Good.
• Adhesion : Good.
• Specific gravity : 1.70 kg/L "mixed with water cf. mixing ratio" (ASTM-D1475).
• Water resistance : Excellent.
• Solvent Resistance : Excellent.
• Specific Gravity (mixed) : 1.70 kg/L "mixed with water cf. mixing ratio" (ASTM-D1475).
• Packaging : 10 Kg of powder in double-walled paper sacks.
• Material consumption : 1.5 – 2 Kg/ m² (on smooth surfaces)
• Tensile adhesion strength : 1.1 N/mm² (storage conditions 28 days at 23?C and 50%RH).
Surface Preparation
Surface must be clean, undamaged and free of oil, grease, and other contaminants. Remove fins, protrusions, and other loose material to obtain good adhesion.

Ensure that the surface is level, fill any holes and irregularities prior to applying TILEFIX. Porous and very absorbent surfaces should be damp but not wet prior to applying TILEFIX.

Do not apply TILEFIX to an area too large that the tiles can not be applied within 30 minutes.
Drying Time
• Initial Setting : 24 hours
• Adjustability Time : 45 minutes (approximately)
• Grouting Time : 5 hours (Walls), 24 hours (floors)
• Note : Final setting: 14 days
Storing Conditions
-Store in dry conditions in the original and unopened paper bags. Avoid powder to be exposed to high temperatures and high humidity conditions.

-Shelf life is one year from packing date in unopened original paper bags at 10 to 40°C.

Safety:
Avoid skin or eye contact. Prolonged contact may cause irritation of the skin and mucous membranes.
